I was lucky enough to photograph some deer close to my home. It started when I spotted a deer outside and quickly swapped to a 70-200mm f/2.8 lens. A 100-400mm lens would probably be more ideal as I had to crop quite a bit to get the framing right but I simply don't have one 😁. I followed the deer and it led my to its flock. I then moved around the flock to get a better angle of them. I was then lucky enough to have one look directly at me. This was also the only one in the flock to have antlers and the sunlight hit him perfectly. I do wish I had moved further to the left so there would be some space between him and the tree but my teacher also said it helped create depth. After some months trying to get a good picture of them I'm very pleased with the result and will continue to capture them as much as I can. It looks like it has socks on its antlers. I love it! And that's such a great shot too!
