I’ve lived in Souther Wisconsin my entire life and hadn’t visited any of the Great Lakes since this past year. In exploring the Great Lakes I heard of Cave Point County Park and saw other images of incredible sunrises during the winter months. Being that I live in Madison an almost 3 hour drive to this location it was hard to fit that in my schedule. Well an opportunity to stay in Doorcounty for a weekend arose out of thin air and I had to take the opportunity. The evening before this shit was taken said there might be a small window of light literally just as the sun was rising. That morning I woke up looking for an excuse to not crawl out of bed get all my layers on and enter the tundra Wisconsin weather. It took everything in me to get up and get after it that morning but my god I have never witnessed such a sunrise in my life, a moment I’ll never forget!
