Against the backdrop of various sanctions against wealthy citizens of Russia, the Europeans were imbued with the idea of confiscating the assets of Russians with their further transfer to the use of Ukrainians suffering from Russian aggression. A resident of the French resort town of Biarritz did this without a trial and a corresponding decision from local authorities.

This is reported by telegram channels.

Local activist Pierre Afner reportedly broke into Putin’s daughter’s Alta Mira villa at 9 avenue du general Mac-Croskey Biarritz. We are talking about the youngest daughter of an international criminal, Katerina Tikhonova, who is the director of the National Intellectual Development Foundation.

The French activist changed the locks on the villa, planted a Ukrainian flag there and said that this house is ready to accept refugees from the Putin regime, primarily Ukrainian citizens.

In the seized villa, in addition to the magazine “GDP. Development Strategy,” there were documents concerning the owner of the private investment group Volga Group, Putin’s friend in the 1990s, Gennady Timchenko, and Kirill Shamalov, Katerina’s husband. A copy of Kirill Shamalov’s passport was found, as well as an electricity bill translated into French at the place of registration in Moscow. Such documents could be needed to open a bank account in France, the purchase of a villa itself, etc.

This villa is known to be valued at around $3.7 million. The asset was purchased by Katerina’s husband from Timchenko, a commodity trader who has known the Russian president since the 1990s.

That's the best way to hurt Putin, take away the money from him and his family. When it hurts him on a personal level he'll be more likely pull away. And even if he doesn't, knowing that he and his family aren't safe from the war he started will hurt him.
