I lived in Winnipeg for a decade and took the bus to work. I have never been as cold as I was standing near Portage and Main waiting for a bus in January. "Exposed skin will freeze in xx seconds".
There was a Russian girl who would take selfies like this, but soon had many copycats doing this. So she took another selfie during the summer, absolutely covered in mosquitoes. Not as many copycats this time.

As a tropical Australian, I just cannot imagine that level of cold. The coldest I've ever experienced was 6°c
