Nah. They were eating the spiders bacon and he took it back, as that’s obviously his house.

Australian here. This is a common misconception for alot of people. The spider didn't steal that bacon. The reason they are named huntsman spiders is because they often use bait they know humans will be attracted to to lure in their prey. Quite often you will find low intrest credit cards, bacon, and even candy hanging temptingly from trees in Australia. Locals know to stay clear but they do trap the odd tourist.
