I’m really curious about the no-knock raids and would love an answer by a law enforcement professional:..

But as people are legally allowed to defend their homes and lives with a firearm….

How do you (as a law enforcement professional) make sure the residents don’t mistake you for a robber, burglar or other type of criminal?

Because to me, if you don’t announce you’re police, how are they knowing that they should cooperate and not resist? Especially since you’re just storming into a house, probably at odd hours.

Anyway, that was my pondering

Minnesota Gun Owners Caucus response

This man was a lawful citizen who had nothing to do with the warrant. He woke up to strangers in his house and did what most gun owners would do, got his weapon ready to defend himself. This could have been any of us, it should outrage 2nd Amendment advocates nationwide. No knock raids should be a very rare exception, not the norm.
