Orchestral clarinetist here. I have one of these. They have a magnet to stay closed when you’re not playing. But they’re a pain for reed players. You can easily snag your reed on the fabric hunting for the opening. And after decades of just raising your instrument to your mouth with sheer muscle memory, aiming for that opening is deceptively hard. After awhile you just give up and focus on your other preventative measures like maintaining 6 feet of distance between other players, using your bell cover and getting vaccinated.
