It's so sad how many comments in here want E3 to die.

If E3 dies we don't get any more press conference cringe to collectively laugh at.

If E3 dies we will likely get fewer playable demos and shadow drops.

If E3 dies there will be no collective annual Summer event for gamers to rally around

E3 shouldn't die. It should evolve. Maybe it becomes a purely digital event / convention. Maybe it becomes a community event rather than a corporate one. But a lot of you who are saying it should just die will be here in 5 years saying, "Remember E3? That was fun."

I remember back in the early 2000s my brother and I would go to my aunts house just to catch some of the coverage because she actually got G4 TV.

But now a days with how easy it is to see everything online, E3 just doesn’t seem to matter anymore. Every company could go the Nintendo Direct route and generate the same level of hype.

Rumor is this is just cover for the fact that they were going to cancel it in person anyway. It just doesn’t matter as much as it used to.
