Representative Maxine Waters (D-CA) branded Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) an "Extremist Radical" who has "no business" in the House after the congresswoman was permanently banned from Twitter.

Speaking on MSNBC's PoliticsNation with Al Sharpton on Sunday, the senior Democrat lashed out at Republican Greene, calling her "dangerous."

Rep. Waters told Rev. Sharpton: "Let me just say this, when you talk about congresswoman Greene, you're talking about the kind of extremist radical that is now in the House of Representatives who is basically, you know, dangerous."

The long-serving Democrat then claimed Rep. Greene had intimidated other lawmakers and referred to an infamous incident in 2021 when she confronted Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).

She then referred to Rep. Greene's endorsement of the claim the 2018 Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Florida was staged, although her comments were made before she entered Congress.

Rep. Waters said: "She's dangerous because she doesn't believe in the Constitution herself. She has been threatening other members of Congress. They have been all over and in the face of AOC out of New York, following her around, trying to intimidate her.

"She does not believe that children that got killed in school by a murderer who invaded their school. It actually happened. She denies it.

"And so this woman is not only radical, I think that she does not have good sense, period. She has no business in the House of Representatives. She loves guns. She wanted to bring her own gun into the House of Representatives and I think if she stays around she's going to create some really difficult problems for us who are trying to serve in the House."

Newsweek has contacted Rep. Greene and Rep. Waters for comment.

Rep. Waters' comments come after Twitter permanently banned Rep. Greene's personal account on Sunday, although her office's profile remains on the social media platform.

Twitter said its decision to remove Rep. Greene's personal account came after she criticized Republican Rep. Dan Crenshaw because he called for using FEMA [Federal Emergency Management Agency] resources to bolster COVID testing sites.

In a Telegram post on Sunday, Greene said of her personal account's permanent suspension: "When Maxine Waters can go to the streets and threaten violence on Twitter, Kamala and Ilhan can bail out rioters on Twitter, and Chief spokesman for terrorist IRGC [Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps] can tweet mourning [Qasem] Soleimani but I get suspended for tweeting VAERS [Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System] statistics, Twitter is an enemy to America and can't handle the truth.

"That's fine, I'll show America we don't need them and it's time to defeat our enemies."

In an additional statement previously sent to Newsweek, Rep. Greene said: "They can't successfully complete a Communist revolution when people tell the truth. Social media platforms can't stop the truth from being spread far and wide. Big Tech can't stop the truth. Communist Democrats can't stop the truth. I stand with the truth and the people. We will overcome!"

Rep. Greene's personal Twitter account has previously been suspended for breaching the platform's COVID-related policies.

One case happened in August when the Republican lawmaker claimed the COVID vaccines are failing and not slowing the spread of the virus.

Marjorie Taylor Greene isn’t qualified to be in congress. And she should really have a psychiatric evaluation and a drug test.

Marjorie before she even took office said there should be no peaceful transition of power between Trump and Biden. Then she tweeted about being sworn in on Jan 3rd, adding 'See you on Jan 6th.' Patrick Maloney said Taylor-Greene was 'gleeful' while the mob was attacking the Capitol.

She's done nothing but attack and mock democracy since 2020, even before that she was harrassing the survivors of the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting. That's not even in her state. She made a trip down there to do just that.

She's not just a disgrace to her office, she's an agent saboteur.

People voted for Greene. That's the problem.
