TIL circumcision is a pretty divisive topic on Reddit. I’ll check back later for more.

Edit: took the dogs out for a walk and come back to exactly what I was hoping to see in the replies. Keep it up, lads. This is far more interesting than the movie I’ve come back to my mother in law watching.

As a Brit I will ask why is it the norm in the US to be circumcised. In the UK it only done for religious or medical reasons definitely not the norm over here

Love this!

To us in Europe with fairly good human rights, from conversations I've had we mostly regard it insane that people are circumcised without a say in it, nevermind before they can even comprehend what's happening to them lol.

If you want to remove part of your own body then by all means have at it, but we absolutely shouldn't be the ones to make the choice for that person.

Once it's done, its too late. Imagine if all kids from birth had their toenails removed so they would never get dirty or ingrown toenails. Sound barbaric? Yyyyeeuuuppp
