Kentucky is a very poor state, I've lived the the majority of my life. They lost one of their biggest employers and their homes. Most of those families will never financially recover
I lived in Mayfield as a child, in a subdivision off of Broadway. Looking at all the drone footage and remembering each building as it was was kind of a reality shock. My dad still lives in the area and I was trying non-stop to reach his cell phone because the land lines were down. Luckily it just missed him...but he still has no power and lives miles outside of town. I'm relieved but I'm still so worried about him.
