The current governor once ran an ad attacking her opponent for being "educated and qualified" (Google Noem Varilek attack ad and you'll probably find it. Funny thing though- SHE made that ad) SD does not value education. Full stop. Noem won with that ad.
This video is disgusting in every part, but I think what's worse is all the people that thought they were doing good here. You could have just split the money equally and not had them degrade themselves in order to buy a pencil for their classrooms if it was truly about giving them money.
A lot of people had to think this was okay to let happen. Groveling for dollar bills to fund public education in front of a crowd. Everything about this is embarrassing.
