This is with a zoom lens, they dont look that close to the naked eye, the gap is about 21miles at this point.

I live in Calais, you definitely see English coast from here, but never that big (only in a sunny/cloudless sky). This picture is definitely taken with a zoom lens. But this is a very nice picture though.

From Kent originally and on a clear day I could see the Calais coastline. Didn't look anything like this close but that's the effect of the lens I guess. Weird to think I lived closer to there than I was to London
