My tom cat used to ride my Mastiff like this. He was a purebred, and I intended to breed him so he wasn't fixed. The problem was the queen I had wouldn't accept him as a mate. So he would grab onto the dog's neck and... er... try to impregnate between the dog's shoulder blades. I don't think the dog quite understood what was going on, but he liked the cat and was so easy going he just went about his day with a tom cat hanging off him as in the photo above.
It was a hell of a thing. They've both passed now. I miss those animals.
