A New York state man is making a big difference in the lives of five young siblings. On Thursday, Lamont Thomas, a single dad, adopted all five children who are all under the age of 5. Thomas has fostered over 30 children and adopted close to a dozen.

... he has been trying to adopt them for 3 years.

Good for this man.

A friend i grew up with had his family split up by the system. He was the middle child and had an older brother and little sister. His grandmother tried to get custody but had to keep fighting to keep them all. They would take the kids away and split them up multiple times. Last I saw him was 8th grade. His family had just been split up again after he had been with then for last year. His sister was adopted out and his brother went to a shelter. Same time that brother was diagnosed with leukemia. My friend had no clue for weeks and months if his older brother was OK or even still alive. The system is a fecking joke.

Some men just want to watch the world become a better place.
