What’s truly astonishing is that this kind of legislation is considered “once in a generation.” Meanwhile, in the past 40 years how many trillions in taxpayer money has been spent on “wars” to profit the military industrial complex, to bail out reckless corporate and Wall Street capitalists, to privatize our public institutions for profit, to pay government contracts to billionaires..
