My oldest son 19 just completed all of his treatments for something I’d never wish on anyone! Can’t express my love and admiration for him!

Man I didn’t get to ring the gong there. I didn’t even know They had the gong.

I honestly have imposter syndrome from my cancer. They found it after a car accident very early on my pancreas and just took 1/2 my pancreas and that was it.

No chemo or radiation, just an open surgery. I mean, I did have real cancer on my pancreas. It hd to come out but the treatment was so mellow that it felt like cheating when I see people in that same hospital going through much worse.

A great thing that I did learn while at MD Anderson, it was the only place where I didn’t feel “special.”

Like you can’t walk up to imaging department and say “why is this taking so long!?! Don’t you know I have cancer!?!” Because saying that would be immediately met by everyone in the building saying “we all have cancer!” I really liked being able to fall back into the crowd like that when everyone in my life wanted to talk to me about cancer. Like that was the leading topic at all times. It became exhausting.

Congrats on the recovery. The new lease on life changes the tone of the world
