A little hope for you I was also born early at 12 weeks. I am a twin my sister being 1.5lbs and myself 2lbs at birth. Today 24 years later I am happy healthy have gone to school completed a diploma and a degree with a great job. Congrats on your little one!😊

Congrats! Check out /r/NICUparents if you haven't already. Our first was in the NICU for 30 days. Our second was born a few weeks ago and came home after just a couple days in the recovery room with my wife and it's been WEIRD (my wife's reaction: "So, we get to just, take him?"). We feel like first time parents because we don't have a team of doctors and nurses and feeding tubes and monitors, etc. He's approaching his older sister's NICU graduation age soon, though, and then we'll be in more familiar territory.

Pro tip: Get an Owlet smart sock. You're used to seeing every vital being monitored and I know from experience how it is going from that - which in some ways was a comfort - to essentially flying blind. It's not an FDA-defined medical device, but it's helpful and mostly for your own peace of mind so you're not checking on him 100x throughout the night.

Enjoy your little man!

Sounds like he's right on time then??

(Very happy everything turned out, can't imagine going through 90 days of NICU!)
