I wish we had more statues like this in the US. Statues of regular people acting out against cruelty and injustice when they see it, honoring them and reminding us to do the same (though maybe not with our handbags). Sweden has the right idea.

Danielsson had mental health issues, and she died three years after the event by suicide after jumping from Växjö's water tower in 1988.

The best part about this is that they didn't immortalize the jackass she was swinging the bag at. Just her fierce determination.
