Not saying it didn't age him, but the lighting is completely different on the two photos. In the one on the left, the lighting is very flat, which de-emphasizes wrinkles, while the one on the right is from a high angle which tends to emphasize wrinkles, the bags under his eyes, and causes his eyes to appear sunken because of the shadow created by the brow ridge.
