Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has forfeited over a quarter of her congressional salary in fines for her refusal to wear a mask on the House floor. Greene has been fined almost two dozen times for refusing to follow safety measures.

She’s racked up $50,000 in fines so far. Her salary is $174,000, which means that the fines have taken 27% of her salary so far.

Greene is one of the leading coronavirus conspiracy theorists and has been banned from Twitter for spreading falsehoods about COVID and the vaccines.

She was given a preliminary warning and then fined $500 for her first violation and $2,500 for each subsequent violation. So far, she’s been observed not wearing a mask or directly refusing to wear one at least 22 times so far according to the House Sergeant at Arms.

The House Ethics Committee only discloses fines that have been issued after legislators have had 30 days to appeal. Greene appealed her first fine, but not any subsequent fine. No mask violation appeals have been granted by the bipartisan committee.

Greene’s litany of violations is only documented through October. She has been observed not wearing a mask since the current list of violations ends.

Last week, a defiant Greene said she would “continue my stand on the House floor against authoritarian Democrat mandates, because I don’t want the American people to stand alone.”

Last month, planners of the Jan 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol named Greene as a co-conspirator in the attack on the seat of government.

Fellow Georgia Republican Andrew S. Clyde has also been racking up fines for violating the mask mandate. So far he’s been hit with $30,000 in fines.

Together with Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), who has been accused of sex crimes involving an underage girl, Greene launched the Put America First PAC, complete with a barnstorming tour of the heartland.

The duo claimed they were leading the vanguard of the new GOP voter and had the support of the average voters. Except their events were canceled and those that weren’t didn’t raise any money. Campaign donations for the two have also dried up as former supporters tire of their antics.

Greene and Gaetz spent the summer trying to raise funds for their PAC, but six months after launch, it’s almost broke.

A large part of both politicians’ campaigns was government fiscal responsibility.

Hubby is a millionaire so she doesn’t care. Besides she can ask her supporters for fine money and they will rob their kids piggy bank to send money.

She doesn't give a shit. She depends upon these fines (that don't affect her in any way) to maintain her victimhood amongst her supporters.

So she has to survive on lobbyists, inside trading, and campaign contributions?
