Radio icon Howard Stern says it could be his “civic duty” to run for president in 2024 if Donald Trump makes another attempt at the White House.

“If Trump decides to run again, you have to run against him,” said Robin Quivers, Stern’s longtime co-host, according to The Daily News.

“I know,” Stern said on his SiriusXM show. “I’ll beat his ass.”

“We can’t leave it to the Democrats,” Quivers replied.

Stern even gamed out how he would handle the debates: by playing the recordings of Trump pressuring Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to “find” enough votes to overturn the 2020 election results.

“I would just sit there and play that fucking clip of him trying to fix the election over and over again,” Stern said. “There’s no way I’d lose.”

It’s not clear how serious Stern is about a possible 2024 bid ― audio posted on Mediate sounded like he was joking around more than anything. But he did flirt with politics in the early 1990s. Although Stern briefly ran for governor of New York, he bailed over financial disclosure rules.

The only person who ever thought Stern was Trump's friend was Trump. Stern brought Trump onto his show regularly because Trump was simply comedy gold. All Stern had to do was put Trump in front of a mic and goad him into talking, and then sit back laughing as Trump would make a fool of himself. Stern could not write a more stereotypically clueless faux-wealthy twit than Trump already was. Stern knew that Trump was an idiot, and that Trump was so desperate for any kind of attention and celebrity, that he would jump at the chance to be on the Stern show. This made Trump's appearances on the Howard Stern show even funnier. Listen to any of Trump's appearances on Stern's show, and you will clearly see that Stern is simply letting Trump make an ass of himself, and Stern is laughing all the way to the bank with it.

Republicans would allow Stern on the Primary stage against Trump and I am pretty sure that is what Stern is implying. Run against Trump in the primary to deny him the nomination and or to further weaken him as a national candidate.

Stern isn't wrong. No politician can beat Trump in a debate because they out make the mistake of trying to conduct a debate. Trump is out there to put on a show. Trump doesn't care what the topics of a debate are. Trump is all spectacle.

Please don't make me vote for Howard Stern for president, but I WILL if he's running against trump.
