Thank you for making the effort. I'm in the UK and can only admire it from afar. This photo makes it real to me.

Almost all of the photos I see of the Taj are from the long rectangular pool in the front, which is a beautiful view, but I wanted something different. I had my cab driver drive for over an hour from the front of the taj to a small village near the river behind the Taj. From there, he said I could go down to the river at my own risk (the river has guard towers up and down it with armed guards that protect the Taj and the river access is for locals only). I didn’t have any issues, and setup my tripod and just kept a low profile, although I did attract some curious boys from the village. As the sun was setting, the Buffalo herder was coming from my right and it looked like he and the Buffalo were going to go behind me, but with a stroke of luck, they cut in front of me, and with the other hand walking in the background, completed the composition.
