Boris Johnson accepted a free summer holiday for himself and his family from a millionaire former MP he made a peer, it was revealed today.

The Prime Minister quietly revealed in the latest list of ministerial interests that Lord Goldsmith allowed him, Carrie and Wilfred to stay at his £25,000-per-night estate near Marbella without payment.

The move allowed the 46-year-old to remain in Government as an environment minister.

He is currently Minister for the Pacific and the Environment having been given an additional role in a 2020 reshuffle.

The stay at the Torre Tramores in early October sparked fury as Mr Johnson left the UK amid a gas price crisis that struck businesses.

'Given Lord Goldsmith is a Minister of the Crown, the arrangement has accordingly been declared.'.

The move allowed the 46-year-old (pictured at Cop26 this week with the Prince of Wales) to remain in Government as an environment minister. »

The judge presiding over the Kyle Rittenhouse trial has dismissed a juror who joked with a courtroom deputy about why Kenosha, Wisconsin, police shot Jacob Blake — the incident that prompted the protests that led to Rittenhouse shooting three people, killing two of them.

Prosecutors said the juror asked a courtroom deputy, "Why did the Kenosha police shoot Jacob Blake seven times?

The judge questioned that juror, asking the juror to repeat the joke, but he wouldn't do so, and the judge removed him from the jury. »

New Jersey’s longest-running state Senate president seems set to lose his seat to a truck driver who spent only $153 on Dunkin and paper fliers over the course of his campaign.

Democratic Senate President Steve Sweeney trailed Republican challenger Edward Durr, a commercial truck driver, by more than 2,000 votes as of Wednesday afternoon, with more than 99% of precincts reporting.
