Fun fact:

If you look at the river to the left, the Allegheny, and count three bridges up, this is the location where Meriwether Lewis launched in 1803.

The green side (Monongahela) probably has more industry, there is a coke plant up the river a couple miles. It’s one of the only active remnants of the steel industry. This one plant is pretty much the whole reason the city has air quality comparable to LA and NY.

This is, quite literally, my favorite place on earth. I’ve spent so much time just sitting at the Point watching the water.
