Washington, DC (CNN) Former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger -- who warned of the dangers of fascism following the insurrection at the US Capitol last winter -- said he feels the events of Nazi Germany mirror "what happens to when people are being lied to about the elections."
"This is so much kind of a feeling of what they were talking about when we were talking about in a Nazi time of when people were lied to all the time and what that led to," Schwarzenegger told CNN's Dana Bash, who asked the former governor why he put out a video message comparing the January 6 riot to Kristallnacht, in an upcoming episode of her CNN podcast "Total Recall: California's Political Circus ."
"I just felt that it was so sad of what happened on January 6," Schwarzenegger said. "Eventually, this whole thing can go really quickly south."
The former governor's candidness is on display in the latest installment of "Total Recall: California's Political Circus," in which Bash sits down with the bodybuilder-turned-movie-star-turned-politician at his Los Angeles home. Schwarzenegger takes a rare, detailed look back at the 2003 recall election that made him governor.

The republicans will lie about future elections as well. In California, Elder and Trump said there was fraud after Newsom won by a landslide in the recent recall. Be prepared to hear them cry fraud every time, and be prepared for right wing violence like Jan. 6 every single election.

George W Bush used partisan manipulation to win the 00' election. There was never a full Florida recount and SCOTUS gave Bush the White House along a partsian 5-4 vote. Then in 04' we saw the birth of superpacs as Kerry was Swift-boated. Similarly Arnold Schwarzenegger was elected Governor is a partsian manipulated recall. 45% voted against recall. Of those who voted for recall Arnold got 48% of the vote or a quart of the total vote to win. Same stuff they just tried to pull with Newsome.
When bending the rules to the point it can be described as cheating benefited Schwarzenegger & Bush they were fine with it. Ethics shouldn't only work in hindsight. Arnold is right in his current statements but is still part of the problem.
