A conversation had by Star Wars nerds to some extent when we’d debate exactly how the lightsaber effect should be done. I’m still firmly team no shadow, you shouldn’t ever see the beam have a shadow.

Actually they do if you hold a stronger light to the flame it will cast a shadow :3 I know this because bbq and sunlight are the bane of my childhood.
