Our family dog had cancer a few years back. Worse than knowing that we had to put her down was watching her deteriorate from a happy, hyperactive dog into a poor animal that could barely slump a few steps before becoming a seizing mess on the floor. And it scared her, we could tell by how she acted. I'm sure you've heard this and I'm not dismissing your grief by any means, but what you all are doing is right. I hope you all remember the good times your cat gave you, and it gives you strength to accept it
