So, real talk here. I know I've posted a couple of dunks on OP, but really this is abusive and based entirely in crunchy woo.

Most places that note any sort of age guidelines on hiking say max out at about 1-1.5km per day per year of age.

OP is going way over that guideline and is saying "well humans were nomadic at one point" while ignoring that when we were nomadic, children died and were crippled fairly regularly during those ventures. If this were an older child who had actually gone through some growth spurts, it wouldn't be half as bad.

So we're left with a few possibilities here:

OP carries that kid, a lot, on that trail The kid is actually hiking everything and being pushed by her parents to do it even past reasonable complaints (there's some comments saying there's been some stops, but that lends credence to #1) OP is a control freak who will home-school that kid as long as possible to keep them on the trail so they can chase their clout through their child.

More than that, reviewing OP's past posts--they are eating straight junk food on that trail. I get packing for a venture necessitates a lot of shelf stable items, but yikes.

Yeah This is disturbing as fuck. I don't I love hiking and hiking with kids is dope this seems straight up abusive. This may be one of the most disturbing things I have seen on reddit. Because the posters think that this is okay or normal. It weirds me out because it's like they don't understand what they are doing is wrong. That you are a parent not a fucking YouTube channel stop abusing your kid to build a lifestyle brand.

OP only responds to people sucking their ass. You're abusive parents, liars, and deserve a lot worse than just negative comments on the internet.
