Saw the same thing in one I was living in. Stayed until one night a guy was shot right under my apartment window (I was in the room watching TV and just about jumped out of my skin at all of the shots). Moved out right after that. Maybe just save yourself the trauma and move now?
When I went to college down in Florida I got a 3 bedroom apartment with some friends half way through the school year. We all were super stoked how nice it looked and whatnot. But this place changed dramatically come nightfall. People screaming at 2am, dogs barking, and everyone’s favorite game fireworks or gunshots. My new rule for finding a place to live is go there at night, and if you don’t feel safe don’t live there.
