It absolutely did not have to be this way. Why can't people just wear a mask if they feel the need to be somewhere around other people. I will never understand how it has gotten this far.

The other day I heard that at least 120,000 children have lost their primary caregiver/parent(s) and I'm completely horrified. I lost my mom when I was 7.5 and it was so difficult to grow up missing my mommy every single day of my life. I'm 36 now, I've outlived my mom by a few years now, and everyone else who raised me is now gone. It is traumatic to go thru life when people you care about are supposed to still be here. This entire generation of children are going to have such profound trauma from losing their parents, just from that alone, let alone the rest of the shit show that is current reality.

Someone did the same thing for New Zealand’s death toll as a comparison - there were maybe 10 flags
