They often have trouble jumping, running or even just walking due to their body shape.
So people are paying 10k for a dog that might live 5 years, will cost thousands of dollars in vet bills and will suffer it's whole life.
In comparison you could adopt a healthy mutt from a shelter for about $100 that could live to 16-17 years old and have very few health problems.

I know people who breed these dogs that sell puppies for 20k a piece. I have no idea what attracts people to the exotics
