My father was born 11 months before Pearl Harbor. I always told him that I had envied all of the excitement he had seen, for better or worse, in victory and tragedy. Since 9/11, I always tell him that I wish I could take it back. I'd give anything to trade for, "boring."

I fly out tomorrow, after being stuck in the same city for two years.
Didn't realize that it'll be the 20th anniversary of 9/11. Hopefully everybody behaves.

MAN I miss all the freedom that got taken away as a result of these two towers being destroyed.
