Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tweeted at the former White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, "Don't let the fascist victim complex hit you on the way out," after Conway refused to resign from the board of visitors for the US Air Force Academy on Wednesday.

Earlier in the day, the White House Office of Presidential Personnel sent letters to former members of the Trump administration asking them to relinquish their positions on advisory and visitor's boards for the US Military Academy, the US Naval Academy, and the US Air Force Academy. Those who did not resign would be given the boot.

Those asked to step down included Conway, the former press secretary Sean Spicer, and the former national security advisor H.R. McMaster.

In response, Conway posted a letter on Twitter, addressed to President Joe Biden, in which she said she was not resigning from her position on the board of visitors for the US Air Force Academy.

"I'm not resigning, but you should," Conway signed off in her letter.

Ocasio-Cortez quote-tweeted Conway and responded to her rejection letter.

"A predictable, if not unfortunate, outcome. Clinging onto vestiges of power against the people's will is kind of your /Trump's / the GOP's thing," she wrote.

"When you're fired, don't let the fascist victim complex hit you on the way out."

Conway was a controversial member of Donald Trump's administration until she left, citing family obligations, in August 2020.

Why the fuck would she be on any academy board???

She was a pathologically lying press secretary (or WH counselor who was constantly lying on TV? Who even knows). That’s it. She has zero relevant qualifications or experience. The #1 thing she’s known for is being the personification of a violation of the Honor Oath taken at every single academy.

HR McMaster - he was a General and a USMA grad - that at least makes sense. Kind of a shame for him.

Spicy McSpiceface or whatever was at least in the Navy, and in retrospect was probably the least terrible press secretary of the Trump era. Still doesn’t belong there.

The other dude from USNA apparently doesn’t understand the chain of command and wants to instill the idea that naval officers can just say “No” to the Commander in Chief if they feel slighted. Not the way to go.

“You want to question the timing of when [the president] hires, when he fires. It’s inappropriate. He’ll do it when he wants to.” - KellyAnne Conway in 2017 when questioned on the timing of Trump’s firing of FBI Director James B. "I'm not resigning, but you should," Conway signed off in her letter.

As childish as her old boss.

Give her the boot, Joe
