For those who don't know, this is a replica of the truck from the movie Jeepers Creepers.

For someone to have put that kind of effort into a vehicle, they must be super into their hobby. I have to ask, what did your boyfriend sell that this person didn't already have?

Fun disturbing fact: this movie is actually based on a true story. The scene where Justin Long and his sister get aggressively tailgated and passed by the creepermobile only to later see him a few miles up the road parked near a building carrying a bloody sheet was taken scene-for-scene from a really creepy Unsolved Mysteries episode where the exact same thing happened to a husband and wife couple driving through a country road in Michigan. The real killer wasn't supernatural of course he was just a guy that had just murdered his wife but its very eerie and it causes a surreal deja vu feeling if you see that episode after having seen the movie. I would say it was more an inspiration than a rip-off but there's even a really similar thing about reading license plates in the real story.

Here's a comparison of the scenes:

The couple in question was freaking hardcore as hell. Even after they saw this strange guy in a creepy van carrying a bloody sheet who even started following them at one point they kept doubling back and driving past him and gathering further evidence. They even drove back to the spot where they saw him with the sheet to investigate all by themselves. This was all before cell phones so they couldn't even call the cops, they just decided to snoop around and antagonize an obvious murderer on a desolated country road. Midwesterners are some nosy motherfuckers.
