Ground around house looks clear. The wrap should protect the house from sparks and cinders. Can't tell how close the trees behind the house are.

I've used this before both successfully and unsuccessfully. The wrap reflects a lot of radiant heat but isn't so good against conductive heat (actual flames against the structure). The homeowner has done a good job at creating defendable space around the home which firefighters love to see and will typically spend more effort on trying to save this house because it is more likely to survive. The key here is making sure to eliminate pockets where firebrands can accumulate or blow in through the wrap otherwise you've wasted your time. Source: Wildland firefighter
