I'm so sorry for all of you, my heart breaks. Did Lucy get a chance to say goodbye?

When my dad passed away, the EMTs were giving him chest compressions, and one of our dogs attacked the EMT. I guess he thought they were hurting my dad. Protectors till the end.

So sorry for your loss.

Dogs are wonderful things.

My grandfather had a dachshund that went everywhere with him. He was killed in a car accident and his dog was with him at the time. We had to put the dog down due to severe injuries, and the local mortuary very kindly agreed to put him in the casket at my grandfather’s feet so they could be buried together. It gave us all a sense of peace to know they were together until the very end.
