Tip from a local - make sure your fire insurance is fully comprehensive and pack a 'go bag' or 'bags'. Or at the very least have a mental inventory of things you want to quickly pack in the event of evacuation orders. Same for your pets if you have any.
Have a plan for your evacuation route and where you will stay if needed.
First day I moved into my property a wildfire broke out and we were on stand by for evacuation. I was running around like an idiot trying to figure out what I should take and what would be left behind.
It only gets worse each season so best to be prepared.

In case you were wondering, It is hot and humid in Atlanta today. Feels like we're in Satan's jockstrap. Same as yesterday. Same for the next month+.
Enjoy the new digs!
