Woke up this morning and fed him breakfast, he was his usual self and excited for the day. I went to the grocery store and came home to find him in bed, unable to get up. Took him the emergency weekend vet who ran tests and scans to determine that a liver mass had ruptured, made him anemic, and they were unable to get him stable enough for surgery. He died in my hands, unassisted. Completely out of the blue, my boy is gone. He was happy and rambunctious at 5am and looking forward to an afternoon of pooping in the park. By 5pm my wife and I were home, in shock.
