This guy literally heard the president left, then moved weapons & personnel and revived the North Coalition and was in talks with other factions to go to a civil war against the Taliban. He has more draw of attention than the actual president ever did.
Good for him. I imagine its only a matter of time before other tribes start fighting with each other and Afghanistan goes back into a perpetual civil war until the next nation decides to invade them.

Kudos to him, yes.
More so, I'm hoping one of the guys with him, Ahmad Massoud, the son of Ahmad Shah Massoud, can garner the same gravitas as his dad. LINK
Ahmad Shah was highly revered in large parts of Afghanistan before being assassinated two days before 9/11/2001. LINK
