One girl came in with a Red Sox uniform, and a very slim beard applied with marker, just the edge of the chin.
Of course, the uniform said "Ortiz", for David Ortiz. He had a distinctive slim beard the year the Red Sox won their first World Series in 86 years.
Another kid came in as the Red Sox scoreboard, the "Green Monster". The World Series game was a blowout, 4-0 against the Cardinals. The important game was the AL championship, where the Sox won over the Yankees after being down 3-0 in the series. The kid's scoreboard showed the score of the final game with the Yankees.
