the past year i’ve struggled with finding out my mom has HIV, and fell into a severe depressive episode that lasted for a good majority of the year, and today I smiled a lot, and felt finally ok and i thought it was ok to share since it was just a picture :/

I love dresses but haven't worn them in about 8 years. When you aren't 100% happy with your body, you just get into a rut of must-look-boring pseudo-modesty, I think.

This summer, I decided to try it again. I bought three nicely cut linen dresses, (blue, navy, and grey) with awesome pockets and they are now my new summer uniform. I wear them gardening, i wear them to restaurants, and I wear them to walk the dog...uniform.

I feel feminine, the cool air blows up my legs (fuck you, jeans!), and I couldn't be happier. The icing on the cake is when women strangers compliment me with an "i love that dress!"

More sundresses in the world is always a good thing.
