Photograph or take a long video clip of it before you move all your stuff into it. It’s a great memento 2 / 5 / 10 years from now.
Bonus Tip: change all of your locks, even if everything is brand new. The money spent is well worth the piece of mind knowing that you have the only keys. I changed all ours over to Schelge keypads because I hate carrying excess keys on me. Also change garage door opener code if you have one.
My wife and I (married for 7 days) just got asked to leave the house we’ve been renting for seven years. We went and saw a house that was in the general area we want, was decent, and we can afford to go above asking (necessary in our market) we’re putting an offer on tomorrow and I’m so hoping I get to experience what you are experiencing right now.
