Trying to explain to someone the difference between the three color, then we got the 5, then to dvi, then to HDMI was not fun. I worked for a cable company as the old thousand pounds tvs were finally getting turned over en mass. Then if course Ethernet vs USB for internet. I'm pretty glad things are simpler now and things are actually marked on the tv!!!!!!!!!!!! Those three colored sucked as it was a guessing game where half the time your arms wouldn't reach.
Hard to match the colors when you’re trying to plug these fuckers in behind a heavy ass tv that won’t move. You get a solid 4 inches of room to work. If you were lucky you had these ports on the side of the tv or on the front but most people were stuck with the max that is “behind the t.v.”

The real struggle was when the wires got old and stopped working so you have to wiggle it around to get the picture.
