This hits hard. Last October I lost a friend to suicide that I played online with for ten plus years. We never met in person, but we always played online together every week. I miss that guy everyday, literally still can’t play the games we used to play. I miss that guy so much! RIP Nemesys.
I played for a very long time with a guy on PS3 and PS4. We never met but it felt like he was my best friend for years. We always talked about meeting up.
Now it just says "Last online: Over 3 years ago"
I miss my friend and I only can hope nothing bad happened to him.
Edit:
Thinking about him some more now and I started to remember so of the moments we had.
I was there when he heard he passed his exams and graduated and so was He when I heard my results.
He was there when the police rang the door bell to tell my dad had died.
I was there when his mom got sick, finished chemo and was declared cancer free.
I remember going to the store to buy a PSN card for his birthday so he could buy the game he really wanted

A coworker of mine died; at the funeral a guy we didn’t know got up and spoke very eloquently about him—referring to him by his online name.
