Joseph Diener, 16, and Dominic Viet, 15, were riding their bikes in Columbia, MO following a heavy storm when they heard a woman screaming for help as she was drifting in floodwaters. Without hesitation, they dove in, swam to her, and pulled her from the strong moving current.

I used to get Boy’s Life magazine in the mail when I was scout. The magazine had a comic called “Scouts in Action” that portrayed scouts like these guys doing heroic things (Google it for some examples).

There’s an “Honor Medal” for acts like these. I hope one day they get featured in Boy’s Life (if that’s even still a thing).
