More info:

Edit: the spider is 43 years old, its lineage is 180,000,000 years. There are 10 appendages but the 2 frontal ones are "pedipalps" they house the sexual organs in males. Please read the comments i've answered almost everything that i can.

I'm one of 4 people in the world that keep this spider. It's my photo, if you like it check out Obsidian Imaging. This spider is only from Western Australia and it's illegal to keep it anywhere else, even on the east coast of Australia. This species should be protected, but it's not because a large part of where it's from is still farmed and is still being cleared.I speak to the council to find where the land is being cleared to be able to ethically collect them before projects are started.

It looks grumpy as fuck. “More pictures? I’m done with your shit, WestCoastInverts.” Lol.

Very cool preservation facts and efforts, man. Keep it up!
