My dad is a doctor, and I asked him if he ever had the situation where someone went "is there a doctor on the plane!?" he said it happened to him once. He was flying on a flight that was trying out this new idea of baking croissants while in-flight and then distributing everyone fresh croissants. During this flight, someone had a heart attack, right before the food tray of fresh croissants got to my dad's row. He got up, helped the guy out, then went back to his seat. He then asked the flight attendant for a croissant, and she told him that they had already given them all away. He was telling me this story decades after it happened, and he was still a little upset about the whole thing "I just saved someone's life, and they couldn't even save me a croissant!"
I posted this story on Reddit before, and someone had a really insightful comment. They must've made enough croissants for everyone on board, and since my dad and the heart attack victim didn't have one, at least one jackass had two!
