My pig does this sometimes. We always get a call from the neighbors thanking us for dinner. It's a joke, but we know she's out again when they say this.
This sounds like me and my duck! If he can hear me out front he comes looking for me! My neighbour had him go round a few weeks ago looking for her cat (they like to snuggle up together!)
One of my donkeys is excessively outgoing and breaks out to visit neighbors all the time. My other donkey is more responsible, but he's extremely loyal and vulnerable to peer pressure from the rebellious donkey. I regularly get texts from the neighbors that my donkeys are in their yard or garage acting like the most ignored, unloved donkeys in the world who have clearly never known the kindness of a scratch or treat before. Little shits.
