I had a friend who couldn't understand why I would do things. he always needed some kind of reason that made sense to him. I always assumed he was a judgmental jerk.
I only truly understood his mindset after we went to McDonalds one day and i ordered a salad. he said "but you're not on a diet?", im like no, i just feel like eating a salad. he could not comprehend what was going on.
Oh my god! Literally the convo with my SIL, “we produce so much from our garden. It has really been enjoyable to learn about growing your own food.” My SIL’s response “why would you have a garden?”
This is so weird. True story. About 20 years ago I dumped my abusive girlfriend. After the break up took a walk to sort out myself out. I was a huge mess of emotions. I walked passed a pawnshop that had a flute in the window for 50$. So I bought it. I bought it for this exact this reason. She wasn't there to judge me and make me feel bad about things I wanted to do. Now I can play the flute a little and that bitch is out of my life.
